Bottom-ranked Stabill managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they edged eighth-ranked Wilki Morskie in Tarnobrzeg 73-72. The best player for the winners was power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Alex Welsh (200-94, college: Colorado Springs) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stabill maintains seventeenth place with 4-21 record. Wilki Morskie at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Krosno and Polpharma. Stabill are looking forward to face higher ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wilki Morskie will play against Polpharma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
