Regular Season Round 22: Arkadikos - Amyntas Dafnis 82-84

A very close game took place in Arkadia between Amyntas Dafnis and Arkadikos. Tenth ranked Amyntas Dafnis (10-12) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Arkadikos (7-15). Amyntas Dafnis managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Saturday evening. Amyntas Dafnis looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Leonidas Zoupas (182-82) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 assists to lead the effort and guard Ioannis Angelopoulos (194-91) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Amyntas Dafnis' coach Alexis Zavos used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by Lithuanian guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) did not help to save the game for Arkadikos. Forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Five Amyntas Dafnis and four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Amyntas Dafnis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with AE Larissas. Arkadikos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Amyntas Dafnis will meet at home GS Larissas (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Arkadikos will play against Holargos and hope to secure a win.
