Top-ranked Sparta blasted bottom-ranked Grengewald (0-3) in Bertrange 75-47 on Saturday evening keeping the perfect record after 6 rounds. Grengewald is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Sparta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Aaliyah Whiteside (183-94, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Shanice Steenholdt (183-92, college: Houston Baptist) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Whiteside is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Sydnei Moss (178-88, college: Co.Carolina) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kacy Greenhalgh (178-86) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Sparta maintains seventh position in League with 2-0 record. Grengewald at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with three games lost. Sparta's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bertrange Sparta.
