Regular Season Round 18: Toyoda Gosei - Kanazawa Sam. 54-67

B League D3 top team - Kanazawa Sam. (29-3) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Toyoda Gosei (5-27) in Aichi 67-54. They outrebounded Toyoda Gosei 43-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for guard Tsukino Tsukino (178-88) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Matthew Kendrick (215-90, college: St.Leo) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and guard Kenshiro Fujita (190-92) added 12 points in the effort for Toyoda Gosei. Toyoda Gosei's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kanazawa Sam. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 29-3 record. Toyoda Gosei lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 27 games lost. Kanazawa Sam. are looking forward to face Saitama Broncos (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Toyoda Gosei will have a break next round.
