Leader Lucca delivered the eighteenth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Umbertide (9-12) 87-46. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Umbertide. The game without a history. Lucca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Umbertide to just 6 points in second quarter. Lucca dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Umbertide's 24. Lucca forced 29 Umbertide turnovers and outrebounded them 37-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Kayla Pedersen (193-89, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. International point guard Francesca Dotto (170-93, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 9 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Antiesha Brown (178-92, college: N.Mexico) who recorded 12 points and guard Elisa Mancinelli (175-93) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lucca have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-2 record. Umbertide at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Lucca are looking forward to face Familia Schio (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Umbertide will play against La Spezia (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
