An interesting game for Nishinomiya S. (32-14) which hosted in Hyogo top-ranked Toyotsu FE (33-13). Second ranked Nishinomiya S. had an easy win 88-67. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Toyotsu FE's 34. They outrebounded Toyotsu FE 52-33 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Larry Owens (201-83, college: ORU, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
