Regular Season Round 25: Fuenlabrada - Sevilla 67-72

An interesting game took place in Madrid, where higher ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (10-14) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Sevilla (8-15) 67-72. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Baloncesto Fuenlabrada won third quarter 23-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Sevilla won last quarter 20-16. American guard Trent Lockett (196-90, college: Marquette) nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Slovenian Bostjan Nachbar (205-80) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian point guard Marko Popovic (185-82, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 11 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin center Blagota Sekulic (210-82) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in the defeat. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sevilla moved-up to thirteenth place. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada at the other side keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Sevilla's next round opponent will be Joventut (#16) in Badalona.
