Regular Season Round 28: SKK Siedlce - Znicz Basket 75-89

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked SKK Siedlce (11-17) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Znicz Basket (11-17) 89-75 on Sunday. Znicz Basket made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Znicz Basket outrebounded SKK Siedlce 43-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. SKK Siedlce was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Tomasz Madziar (195-92) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds and Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-94) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) responded with 22 points and guard Rafal Sobilo (188-89) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Znicz Basket moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Rosa II Radom and SKK Siedlce. Znicz Basket will face higher ranked Spojnia (#3) in Stargard in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
