Regular Season Round 3: East Perth E. - Goldfields G. 99-78

There was no surprise when Giants (0-2) were outleveled by Eagles (2-0) in Morley 99-78 on Sunday. Eagles shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Corey Easley (206-83, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Drew Williamson (196-83, college: Metro St.) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Five Eagles players scored in double figures. American forward JB Pillard (201, college: Cent.Washington) answered with 26 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Jerome Reid (195-96) added 12 points in the effort for Giants. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eagles will face Buccaneers in Wonthella in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Giants will play at home against Wanneroo (#4) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
