Regular Season Round 24: Valle de Egues - Easo 64-70

There was no surprise in Olaz where 9th ranked Valle de Egues (9-12) was defeated by third ranked Easo (16-5) 70-64 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 26-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Valle de Egues was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Inigo Del-Valle (188-87) who scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) chipped in 7 points and 12 rebounds. Easo's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Inigo Urdiain (199-99) added 17 points respectively. They have a solid three-game winning streak. Easo maintains third position in Group A-A with 16-5 record having just sixteen point less than leader Meridiano Baza. Newly promoted Valle de Egues dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Easo will face Univ.Burgos (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valle de Egues will play against TAKE Tolosa and hope to win that game.
