The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Moncalieri (16-7) on the court of sixth ranked Montecatiniterme on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Montecatiniterme 73-67. Montecatiniterme dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Moncalieri's 30. Montecatiniterme forced 19 Moncalieri turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marco Petrucci (195-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and center Silvio Stanzani (207-96, agency: Interperformances) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Moncalieri's coach Lorenzo Pansa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Montecatiniterme (13-10) moved-up to fifth place in B. Moncalieri at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost.
