Regular Season Round 9: Hyundai-TSU - Arena-76 59-54

An interesting game for Hyundai-TSU (6-2) which hosted in Tbilisi 3rd placed Arena-76 (5-4). Second ranked Hyundai-TSU managed to get a 5-point victory 59-54. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 37-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hyundai-TSU forced 20 Arena-76 turnovers. It was a good game for American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Forward Alexandre Pevadze (201-98) contributed with 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Peter Alexis (213-92, college: Philadelphia) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Oleksandr Rychlyuk (208-84) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Arena-76. Hyundai-TSU have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with DELTA. Newly promoted Arena-76 keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Tskaltubo. Hyundai-TSU is looking forward to face league's leader DELTA in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arena-76 will play against BC Titebi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
