Regular Season Round 3: Norths Bears - Maitland M. 86-90

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Maitland Mustangs (3-1) beat Norths Soul Sports Bears (2-1) in Crows Nest 90-86 on Sunday. Maitland Mustangs outrebounded Norths Soul Sports Bears 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Tyler Monroe (201, college: Azusa Pacific) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. Terrell Turner contributed with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Estonian swingman Erik Dorbek (196-82) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and James Maccann added 15 points and 8 assists in the effort for Norths Soul Sports Bears. Four Norths Soul Sports Bears players scored in double figures. Maitland Mustangs will face Hills Hornets (#7) in Baulkham Hills in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Norths Soul Sports Bears will play at home against Hills Hornets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
