Very predictable result when fifth ranked Basket Barcellona (17-6) defeated at home 16th ranked Maddaloni (3-21) 86-75 on Sunday. Basket Barcellona made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Maddaloni was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Daniele Grilli (191-87) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists and power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) who added 20 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Alessandro Guagliardi (194-94) with 21 points and 5 steals and point guard Giangiacomo De-Vincenzo (180-94) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Basket Barcellona moved-up to fourth place in B. Loser Maddaloni keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Basket Barcellona will face Scauri (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Maddaloni will play against Cefalu (#10) and hope to win that game.
