Regular Season Round 24: Monteroni - Valdiceppo 70-75

Date: March 19, 2017
Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked Valdiceppo (7-16) defeated on the road 16th ranked Monteroni (3-21) 75-70 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Federico Burini (190-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 assists and center Alessandro Panzieri (201-95, college: High School) who added 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Valdiceppo's coach Paolo Pierotti used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Simone Zanotti (208-92) with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks and Federico Ingrosso (187-94) scored 18 points and 7 assists. Newly promoted Valdiceppo maintains fourteenth position in B with 7-16 record. Loser Monteroni keeps the sixteenth place with 21 games lost. Valdiceppo will face higher ranked Campli (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Monteroni will play against Rimini (#9) and hope to win that game.
