No shocking result in a game when third ranked DCU Mercy (10-5) beat 5th ranked P.Panthers (8-8) in Dublin 68-64. DCU Mercy brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The former international guard Aishling Sullivan (175-88) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and center Rachel Huijsdens (187-99) chipped in 9 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. DCU Mercy's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Nicole Sterling (178-93, college: Miami, FL) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center Claire Melia (185-99) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. DCU Mercy have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-5 record having five points less than leader Glanmire. P.Panthers at the other side keep the fifth place with eight games lost.
