Regular Season Round 25: Roma Virtus - Treviglio 97-90

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Roma Virtus and 6th ranked Treviglio had identical 14-10 record. This time Roma Virtus used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Treviglio 97-90 on Sunday night. Roma Virtus looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward John Brown (203-92, college: High Point) stepped up and scored 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and naturalized American point guard Anthony Raffa (185-89, college: Co.Carolina) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side Lithuanian Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Players Group) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and naturalized American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St.) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Five Roma Virtus and four Treviglio players scored in double figures. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Roma Virtus (15-10) moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Treviglio keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Roma Virtus will face Lighthouse TR (#10) in Trapani in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Treviglio will play at home against Viola RC (#16) and hope to win that game.
