Regular Season Round 48: Tokyo Excel. - Shinshu BW 88-84

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Shinshu BW (12-35) lost on the road to fourth ranked Tokyo Excel. (18-27) 88-84 on Monday. Tokyo Excel. shot 21 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Shinshu BW only scored three points from the stripe. Shinshu BW was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American center Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and Dutch power forward Jeroen van-der-List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tokyo Excel. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 18-27 record. Shinshu BW lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 35 games lost. Tokyo Excel. will face Bambitious Nara (#5) on the road in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against the league's second-placed Nishinomiya S. and hope to win that game.
