Regular Season Round 23: Le Portel - Limoges 80-59

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Le Portel (11-12) crushed at home 9th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (11-12) 80-59 on Monday. The game without a history. Le Portel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Le Portel outrebounded Limoges CSP Elite 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Limoges CSP Elite was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-87, college: Dakota Wesleyan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Le Portel players scored in double figures. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) answered with 13 points and American forward CJ Fair (203-91, college: Syracuse) added 13 points in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Le Portel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Limoges. Le Portel will face Chalons-Reims (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
