Elchingen cruised past Schalke in the decider. Elchingen dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Schalke's 30. They outrebounded Schalke 46-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. Elchingen players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian swingman Taevaunn Prince (191-91, college: Missouri So.) who scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Kristian Kuhn (208-87, college: N.Arizona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Russian forward Nikita Khartchenkov (200-87) who recorded 20 points and American power forward Trent Weaver (202-94, college: Ohio Dominican) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Schalke's coach Raphael Wilder gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
