Second Stage Round 9: IK Eos - Lobas 106-74

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked IK Eos as it allowed them to take a leadership position in BEHS forts. IK Eos smashed 4th placed Lobas in Lund 106-74. The game was mostly controlled by IK Eos. Lobas managed to win fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IK Eos forced 25 Lobas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Adnan Karovic (188-88) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. IK Eos' coach Axel Wallin felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Robert Nilsson (201-96) who recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Markus Van-Amersfoort (177-99) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Eskilstuna. Lobas at the other side dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. Lobas will play next round against Talje Knights trying to get back on the winning streak. IK Eos will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Huddinge at home.
