Karlsruhe BG upset Oldenburg to advance into the quarterfinal stage. It was a good game for naturalized American forward Shawn Gulley (201-93, college: Temple JC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American center Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agency: Court Side) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Marcel Kessen (207-97) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Lucien Schmikale (194-97) added 18 points in the effort for Oldenburg. Four Oldenburg players scored in double figures.
