Regular Season Round 17: Mayrouba - Tadamon 80-85

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Mayrouba's (3-14) home loss to eighth ranked Tadamon (6-11) 80-85. Tadamon players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina, agency: Duran International) nailed a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard Courtney Pigram (185-85, college: E.Tenn.St.) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. Center Robert Upshaw (213-94, college: Washington) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and forward Emmanuel Jones (200-85, college: UTRGV) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mayrouba in the defeat. Tadamon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sagesse. Mayrouba lost their ninth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. They share it with Hoops. Tadamon will play against higher ranked Byblos (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mayrouba will play against Al Moutahed (#4) in Tripoli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
