Date: March 22, 2017
The game in Rakvere was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked TTU (14-10) played at the court of 8th ranked BC Rakvere (7-19). TTU did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 83-65. The game was mostly controlled by TTU. BC Rakvere was better in fourth quarter 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BC Rakvere 49-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Sten Olmre (192-95) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Point guard Siim-Markus Post (183-97) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Mario Paiste (186-89) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for BC Rakvere in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TTU maintains fourth place with 14-10 record. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the eighth position with 19 games lost. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TLU/Kalev.
