Leading Lucca (18-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of third ranked Familia Schio on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Familia Schio 74-61. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Familia Schio. Lucca managed to win second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Familia Schio forced 21 Lucca turnovers. Strangely Lucca outrebounded Familia Schio 42-28 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Cecilia Zandalasini (183-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) notched 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the effort and the former international forward Laura Macchi (188-79) supported her with 15 points. Familia Schio's coach Mauro Procaccini used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds by forward Kayla Pedersen (193-89, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Lucca. American-New Zealand guard Jillian Harmon (185-87, college: Stanford, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 20 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Familia Schio have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Lucca.
