Not a big story in a game in Comodoro R. where 10th ranked Echague (7-34) was defeated by fourth ranked GECR Indalo (22-21) 97-80 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by GECR Indalo. Echague was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GECR Indalo dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Echague's players. The former international Carlos Schattmann (193-87) fired 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Nicolas De-los-Santos (180-88) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. American center Derrick Caracter (206-88, college: UTEP) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four GECR Indalo and five Echague players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 22-21 record, which they share with Argentino. Newly promoted Echague keeps the tenth place with 34 games lost. GECR Indalo will face league's second-placed Estudiantes C. in Concordia in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Echague will play at home against Obras Basket (#6) and hope to win that game.
