Regular Season Round 2: Willetton T. - Cockburn C. 96-87

Tigers used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Hamilton Hill 96-87 on Friday night. Tigers outrebounded Cougars 49-31 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Stacey Barr (173-92, college: Idaho) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Center Zoe Harper (191-88, college: Minnesota) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Kersten Mitchell (185-90, college: Illinois) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brianna Moyes (170, college: Akron) added 21 points and 7 assists in the effort for Cougars. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. Cougars' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tigers will have a break next round. Cougars will play on the road against Senators (#5) in Leederville and hope to win that game.
