Regular Season Round 35: Nassjo - Uppsala 86-62

Date: March 24, 2017
We should not miss the game where seventh ranked Nassjo (15-17) against 4th placed Uppsala Basket (18-13) where host Nassjo rolled over their opponents by twenty four points 86-62. The game was mostly controlled by Nassjo. Uppsala Basket was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nassjo dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Uppsala Basket's 22. It was an exceptional evening for American center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Reginald Johnson (191-94, college: Hampton) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Five Nassjo players scored in double figures. Guard Lukas Friberg (190-95) came up with 9 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Uppsala Basket in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nassjo maintains seventh place with 15-17 record. Uppsala Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost. Nassjo will have a break next round. Uppsala Basket will play on the road against Boras Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
