Not a big story in a game in Lugo where 6th ranked Leyma Basquet (17-12) was rolled over by fourth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (19-9) 104-73 on Friday. The game without a history. Leche Rio Breogan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Leche Rio Breogan forced 21 Leyma Basquet turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Power forward Ivan Cruz-Uceda (208-91, college: Miami, FL) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American-Liberian guard Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. American guard Zach Monaghan (188-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Duran International) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian center Gediminas Zyle (210-88, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to third place. Loser Leyma Basquet keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will face Cocinas.com (#15) in Logrono in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Leyma Basquet will play at home against Oviedo CB (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
