Regular Season Round 26: Spirou - Kangoeroes 87-56

Kangoeroes (#4) were upset in Charleroi by seventh ranked Spirou Charleroi 87-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kangoeroes. Spirou Charleroi dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kangoeroes' 24 and made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Spirou Charleroi forced 19 Kangoeroes turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kangoeroes' players. American forward Adam Kemp (208-90, college: Marist) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Canadian-Jamaican swingman Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Spirou Charleroi's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 14 points and 5 rebounds by American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) did not help to save the game for Kangoeroes. His fellow American import forward Terrance Henry (206-89, college: Mississippi) added 8 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Spirou Charleroi maintains seventh position with 12-14 record. Kangoeroes at the other side keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Spirou Charleroi will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#8) in Jemappes in the next round. Kangoeroes will play at home against the league's leader Oostende (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
