Regular Season Round 30: Chartres - GET Vosges 89-77

An interesting game took place in Chartres where higher ranked GET Vosges (17-13) was upset on the court of tenth ranked UB Chartres (16-14) 89-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by UB Chartres. GET Vosges was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for UB Chartres especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American forward Jonathan Mitchell (201-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Harry Disy (200-84, college: Louisiana Tech) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Loic Gigant (196-90) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Kaiser) scored 15 points. Four UB Chartres and five GET Vosges players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UB Chartres have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ALS Basket and Challans. Loser GET Vosges keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost. UB Chartres will face league's second-placed Quimper UJAP on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. GET Vosges will play against SAP Vaucluse and hope to win that game.
