No shocking result in a game when first ranked Tochigi Brex (37-9) crushed at home 6th ranked Sendai 89ers (12-34) 86-53 on Saturday. They outrebounded Sendai 89ers 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Yutaro Suda (188-92) contributed with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) replied with 8 points and 9 rebounds and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sendai 89ers.
