Regular Season Round 23: Holargos - Arkadikos 79-78

Twelfth-ranked Arkadikos (7-16) gave a tough game to eighth ranked Holargos (12-11) on Saturday. Holargos managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was forward Nikos Angelopoulos (205-84, agency: Interperformances) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Australian guard Triantafillos Tzakopoulos (185-85) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Holargos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ethnikos and Psychiko. Arkadikos lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Holargos will meet GS Larissas (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Arkadikos will play against Kavala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
