An interesting game for Ventspils (24-2) which hosted in Ventspils second-best Valmiera (18-10). First ranked Ventspils managed to get a 5-point victory 89-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Valmiera. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 26-18 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game.
