Regular Season Round 30: St Vallier - CFBB 99-77

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-30) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 30th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Saint Vallier (15-15) 99-77 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Saint Vallier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 34. They outrebounded CFBB 46-23 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saint Vallier looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). Vincent Ateba (195-85, college: Missouri So.) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Theo Maledon (191-1) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and guard Sofiane Briki (190-99) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saint Vallier maintains eleventh position with 15-15 record. Loser CFBB still closes the standings. Saint Vallier will meet Gries/Oberhoffen (#12) in the next round. CFBB will play against Union Rennes (#17) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
