Regular Season Round 23: Olimpi - Rustavi 85-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Energy Invest (13-10) against seventh ranked Olimpi (8-14) on Saturday night. Visiting Energy Invest was defeated by Olimpi in a tough game in Tbilisi 77-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Energy Invest. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Energy Invest won fourth quarter 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olimpi dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Energy Invest's 32. The former international guard Revaz Rogava (191-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Tre Burnette (196, college: S.Dakota) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Sergo Atuashvili (223-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Thomas Spagnolo (201-91, college: Appalachian St.) added 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Energy Invest. Four Energy Invest players scored in double figures. Olimpi moved-up to sixth place. Energy Invest at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Olimpi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Mgzavrebi.
