Regular Season Round 48: Toyota Alvark - Akita NH 78-60

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Akita Happinets (13-33) lost to second ranked Toyota Alvark (36-10) in Tokyo 60-78 on Saturday. Toyota Alvark dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Akita Happinets' 28. It was a good game for swingman Zack Baranski (193-92) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Akita Happinets. Akita Happinets' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Toyota Alvark have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with SeaHorses. Loser Akita Happinets keep the fifth place with 33 games lost. Toyota Alvark will face again Akita Happinets (#5) at home in the next round.
