Mount Gambier Pioneers' road win over top-ranked Bandits 87-83 was very exciting. It was a key game for the top position in League. Strangely Bandits outrebounded Mount Gambier Pioneers 44-30 including a 13-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Luke Jamieson (200-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Tom Daly (182-91) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Mount Gambier Pioneers players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Deba George (183-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Antone Robinson (200) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Mount Gambier Pioneers (1-0) keep a position of League leader. Loser Bandits still closes the standings with one game lost. Mount Gambier Pioneers will face Bendigo Braves (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bandits will play against the league's second-placed Spectres and look forward to get finally their first victory.
