Regular Season Round 49: Cyberdyne IR - Yamagata 80-72

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Yamagata (24-23) against fifth ranked Cyberdyne IR (21-26) on Saturday night. Visiting Yamagata was defeated by Cyberdyne IR in a tough game in Tsukuba 72-80. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Josei Maniwa (193-86) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Yuichi Ishikawa (173-87) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Yamagata. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cyberdyne IR have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Aomori Watts. Yamagata at the other side keeps the third position with 23 games lost. Cyberdyne IR's next round opponent will be again higher ranked Yamagata (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
