Regular Season Round 49: Bambitious Nara - Tokyo Excel. 104-106

A very close game took place in Nara between Tokyo Excel. and Bambitious Nara. Fourth ranked Tokyo Excel. (19-27) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Bambitious Nara (17-30). Tokyo Excel. managed to escape with a 2-point win 106-104 in the game for the fourth place. Tokyo Excel. made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. American center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) fired 25 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-88) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) produced 26 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Tokyo Excel. and four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tokyo Excel. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 19-27 record. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the fifth position with 30 games lost. Tokyo Excel. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bambitious Nara will play again against Tokyo Excel. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
