Regular Season Round 23: Apollon Patras - Kolossos HH 83-67

We should mention about the upset which took place in Patra, where higher ranked Kolossos HH (12-11) lost to thirteenth ranked Apollon Patras (6-17) in a road game 67-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Apollon Patras. Kolossos HH was better in third quarter 30-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Apollon Patras made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American-Ukrainian guard Steven Burtt (189-84, college: Iona) who scored 24 points. Ioannis Kouzeloglou (204-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Four Apollon Patras players scored in double figures. American point guard Langston Hall (193-91, college: Mercer) produced 18 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Juvonte Reddic (206-92, college: VCU) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Apollon Patras maintains thirteenth place with 6-17 record. Loser Kolossos HH keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Apollon Patras will face higher ranked Aris (#5) in Thessaloniki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
