Regular Season Round 23: Trepca - Ylli 131-76

The game between fourth ranked Trepca (16-7) and 5th ranked Xhebrailat (10-12) in Mitrovice on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Trepca outscored guests from Therande 131-76. The game was mostly controlled by Trepca. Xhebrailat managed to win third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Trepca dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Xhebrailat's 54. Trepca forced 19 Xhebrailat turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Trepca looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Kiel Turpin (213-89, college: Florida St., agency: Three Eye Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 28 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Trepca players scored in double figures. Trepca's coach Dimitris Papadopoulos felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Trae Anderson (196, college: E.Illinois) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and center Ergin Grosha (211-93) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Xhebrailat. Trepca have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Xhebrailat at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Trepca are looking forward to face Peja (#4) in Peje in the next round. Xhebrailat will play at home against Rahoveci and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
