There was no surprise when 6th ranked Civitanova (13-8) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Ferrara (15-6) 54-34 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ferrara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Civitanova to just 6 points in second and fourth quarters. Forward Nene Diene (180-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Liliana Miccio (182-89) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Ferrara's coach Johnatan Chimenti used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Margherita Mataloni (172-95) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Giorgia Bocola (180-0) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Civitanova. Ferrara moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Civitanova keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Ferrara will face Alpo VF (#7) in Verona in the next round. Civitanova will play at home against Castellammare and hope to win that game.
