Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Albino (10-13) outplayed 11th ranked Carugate (6-17) in Corugate 69-42 on Saturday. The game without a history. Albino led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) contributed with 13 points for the winners. The former international forward Emily Correal (190-90, college: William & Mary, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Arianna Beretta (178-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 11 points in the effort for Carugate. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Albino maintains eighth place in A2 with 10-13 record. Loser Carugate keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Albino will face Virtus Cagliari (#9) on the road in the next round. Carugate will play against Bolzano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
