Regular Season Round 49: Kagawa FA - Hiroshima D. 77-87

Everything went according to plan in Takamatsu where second ranked Dragonflies (37-10) beat 5th ranked Kagawa FA (14-33) 87-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kagawa FA 41-27 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kagawa FA was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona, agency: Babcock Sports) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas, agency: Babcock Sports) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) responded with 29 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Taku Bandoh (185-92) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies maintains second place with 37-10 record having just four point less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fifth position with 33 games lost. Dragonflies will have a break next round. Kagawa FA will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dragonflies (#2) and hope to win that game.
