Very important is a home loss of second ranked Fukushima (26-22) against sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (12-36) on Sunday night. Host Fukushima was crushed by Iwate Big Bulls in Fukushima 96-74. Iwate Big Bulls made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Iwate Big Bulls outrebounded Fukushima 44-25 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. The other American import center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Iwate Big Bulls' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) replied with 19 points and guard Yosuke Hori (191-93) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Five Iwate Big Bulls and four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth position with 12-36 record. Fukushima lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with 22 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will play against higher ranked Aomori Watts (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
