Regular Season Round 4: Nunawading S. - BA CoE 87-64

Date: March 26, 2017
There was an upset in East Burwood where top-ranked BA CoE (0-2) was crushed by top-ranked Spectres (1-0) 87-64 on Sunday. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to BA CoE's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Simon Conn (206-83, college: Gardner-Webb) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds and American center Dain Swetalla (206-86, college: Augustana, IL) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side Angus Glover (192-98) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and swingman Tom Fullarton (200-99) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spectres left bottom position moving up to second place in League. Loser BA CoE still closes the standings with two games lost. Spectres will face Bandits (#6) in Albury in the next round. BA CoE will play at home against Kilsyth Cobras and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
