Very predictable result when tenth ranked Desio (11-14) beat at home 16th ranked Iseo (5-20) 83-70 on Sunday. Iseo was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (192-85, agency: Interperformances) fired 11 points and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Andrea Negri (193-88) chipped in 19 points. Four Desio players scored in double figures. Desio's coach Davide Villa used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gianluigi Prestini (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Marco Azzola (192-94, agency: Players Group) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Desio moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Iseo lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Lecco (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iseo will play against Piacenza (#4) and hope to win that game.
