Important game to mention about took place in Trapani. Tenth ranked Lighthouse TR (13-13) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Roma Virtus (15-11) 106-105 on Sunday evening. Lighthouse TR made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Roma Virtus were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Keddric Mays (183-84) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 4 assists. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Naturalized American point guard Anthony Raffa (185-89, college: Co.Carolina) produced 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward John Brown (203-92, college: High Point) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Lighthouse TR and four Roma Virtus players scored in double figures. Roma Virtus' coach Fabio Corbani gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lighthouse TR maintains tenth position in A2 with 13-13 record. Loser Roma Virtus keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. Lighthouse TR will face Mens Sana 1871 (#12) in Siena in the next round. Roma Virtus will play at home against Rieti (#9) and hope to win that game.
