Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Hapoel Jerusalem (13-11) and Maccabi Rishon (11-13), which took place in Rishon Le-Zion. Higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Maccabi Rishon 83-59. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Rishon. Hapoel Jerusalem was better in fourth quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hapoel Jerusalem to just 6 points in second quarter. Maccabi Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Jerusalem's 30. Maccabi Rishon forced 25 Hapoel Jerusalem turnovers. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Maccabi Rishon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maccabi Haifa (#6) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Galil Gilboa and hope to win that game.
